Randy Arnold, President

Since co-founding MTW Solutions in 2005, Randy has concentrated on product development and the technical expansion of MTW’s products, the Grant Management System and MTW’s most recent product COMPAS™ – an unemployment insurance tax compliance audit system. Randy regularly interacts with our customers through project management and support of our client implementations.

Randy’s technical experience spans more than three decades in the areas of software architecture, design and development, and project management. His career has focused on developing and implementing enterprise-level systems for state and local government agencies.

Randy earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Bowling Green State University in 1985. His career in IT started in the public sector with two years at the Northwest Ohio Regional Information System. This was followed by nine years at Texas Instruments (TI) where he focused on managing and consulting projects at state and local government agencies using TI’s CASE tool, ultimately becoming the manager of the Application Development group that focused on actual application delivery for customers using the CASE tool. In 1996, he joined MTW Corporation to lead its Public Sector Practice and continued to hold senior and executive leadership positions in the TIG/MTW United States Public Sector division following the 2001 acquisition of MTW Corporation by The Innovation Group until the 2005 launch of MTW Solutions.

Randy held Project Management Professional (PMP) certification credentials from May 1999 to May 2018. This certification exemplifies proficiency and dedication to project management standards that support successful IT projects. He is a charter member of the PMI’s Mid-Missouri Chapter, as well as, a member of the Information Systems Community of Practice. Randy and his family reside in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Dan Carier, Vice President

Dan Carier

As co-founder and Vice President of MTW Solutions, Dan holds multiple roles within the company. Dan manages the operational areas of the company including finance, sales, and administration. Drawing upon two decades of information technology experience, Dan also directs the implementation and maintenance needs of several of MTW’s Web-based Grant Management System projects; moving between roles of Project Manager, Analyst and Trainer.

Since 2004, Dan has coordinated and led MTW’s annual GMS User Group meeting. Through his leadership, this interactive forum has become a successful opportunity for our customers to identify and prioritize system updates and enhancements as well as share best practices they realize by using our GMS Tools.

Dan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1988. Following graduation, Dan joined Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in their Systems Engineer Development Program. Upon completion of the 18 month program, Dan completed development assignments for Contract Accounting systems. Dan continued with EDS as Lead Developer/System Engineer Supervisor managing large scale legacy systems projects for the General Motors’ Pontiac Division and the United States Department of Agriculture. In 1997, Dan joined MTW Corporation as a Senior Consultant/Project Manager where he managed a number of systems development projects for both public and private sector clients. He continued to hold managerial and executive leadership positions with TIG/MTW following the 2001 acquisition of MTW Corporation by The Innovation Group until the launch of MTW Solutions in 2005.

Today, he is an active member of the Kansas City chapter of the executive leadership program Vistage International. Dan and his family reside in Olathe, Kansas a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri.
